Here’s a cool little program that solves a really annoying problem. You pop a USB thumb drive or DVD into your computer and then you have to open Window’s Explorer and find the mapped drive or folder. Desk Drive adds a desktop icon pointing to the drive automatically. Remove the media and the shortcut goes away. Brilliantly simple and effective.

I don’t know about you but I own a very large collection of Mp3 and the level of recording is very inconsistent. Some songs are recorded very loud and some of them you have to crank the volume. Mp3 gain will allow you to select an album or a folder and adjust the recording level  of the Mp3.

MP3Gain does not just do peak normalization, as many normalizers do. Instead, it does some statistical analysis to determine how loud the file actually sounds to the human ear.
Also, the changes MP3Gain makes are completely loss less. There is no quality lost in the change because the program adjusts the mp3 file directly.
