You create an account with Xmarks (free) and you can add the plugin for firefox or download the program for windows or mac.

Once you have the program installed whatever you are bookmarking in your web browser is uploaded to their server every 40 minutes. You can also choose to sync your saved passwords using 256 bit encryption.
