I stumbled upon this website the other day and found it interesting. This is a virtual windows operating system running in your browser. This requires that silverlight 3 is installed on your computer. The system also supports installing program functionality but the program should be developed in Silverlight and be available in Internet or local file system. I tried to use it in Firefox and it did not work. I guess this program only works in Internet explorer.

Netbootin can create a bootable Live USB drive, or it can make a “frugal install” on your local hard disk if you don’t have a USB drive. It can load distributions by automatically downloading their ISO (CD image) files, or by using existing ISO files, floppy/hard disk images, or kernel.

This is a wiping utility. If you want to get rid of your old computer, before you throw it out,
you may want to delete your information securely. Just formatting the drive is not good enough, you have to wipe it.
This is a boot cd that will wipe your data.
1- download the program Here
2- Burn the iso to a disk using a iso burner ( you can get one here )
3- Boot your computer with the cd
4- select the option to delete data on your hard drive.
**** warning **** Once you selected erase, there will be no way to get your data back.

If you have a multi-boot Macintosh i.e Mac-Pc-Linux
it can be a little complicated to manage the boot loader.
Refit is a little and easy boot loader with a nice graphic interface.

Yes you have read correctly, Google launched the beta version of their operating system yesterday.
It is Unix based ( linux ) and it is designed to run on netbook ( small pocket computer like acer or dell ).
Download the version to install on a usb stick ( this is a torrent file, use this program to download the torrent if you don’t have one Download Utorrent )
Download the iso ( use a program called burn xp to burn the iso )
Download the virtual machine ( this is a torrent file, use this program to download the torrent if you don’t have one Download Utorrent ) . you will also need to download virtual box to emulate the image. ( download virtual box ).

This boot cd is a Must. Everybody should have a copy in their toolbox. This cd will do anything from restoring the MBR, resetting the windows passwords, imaging your computer, recovering deleted data, partitioning your hard drive etc..
