My IP Neighbors lets you find out if any other web sites (“virtual hosts”) are hosted on a given web server.

The tool is a great way to find out who your hosting neighbors are, or just to see how many other websites your hosting company runs from the same machine. Or perhaps you’d like to know if that flashy company still uses cheap hosting like the rest of us.

You can search by hostname or by IP. Search results include the neighbor’s website URL’s and titles, and links to WHOIS data.

EmailTracer is a tool to track email sender’s identity. It analyzes the email header and gives the complete details of the sender like IP address, which is key point to find the culprit and the route followed by the mail, the Mail Server, details of Service Provider etc. EmailTracer traces up to Internet Service Provider level only. Further tracing can be done with the help of ISP and law enforcement agencies. The message-id will be useful for analyzing the mail logs at ISP.

SoftPerfect Personal FirewallThe SoftPerfect Personal Firewall is a free network firewall designed to protect your PC against attacks from the Internet or via a local area network. SoftPerfect Personal Firewall offers customizable security using user-defined rules for packet filtering. It works at a low level and also allows you to create rules based on non-IP protocols such as ARP.

The SoftPerfect Personal Firewall supports multiple network adapter configurations. This allows you to apply a rule, for example, for just a modem connection or you could apply separate rules for each system interface. With a flexible filtering system, trusted MAC address checking feature and separate network adapter configuration you can even use it on a router or a server.

Please be aware that the SoftPerfect Personal Firewall is not designed for novices and requires some networking knowledge from you for a correct configuration.

NetSetMan allows you to quickly switch between pre-configured network settings. The program is ideal for people on the road, who frequently connect to different networks and need to update or reconfigure their network settings each time. NetSetMan eliminates the need for manual configurations, you can simply create different profiles to store your network configuration, and then switch between them with the click of a button. NetSetMan can apply configuration settings for IP address Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, WiFi, Printer, DNS servers and more. The free version is limited to 6 network profiles, which is more than enough for personal usage

You can change by a click of a button, the internet profile. ( for example at home I have 2 different wi-fi networks on different subnet, this is a pain to manually change the data all the time. This utility is great to quickly switch profile. You can specify dns, subnet, ip etc..  The only problem I encountered with it is that I had to select my profile twice , it would not connect the first time.

I created a guide that will show you step by step how to encrypt your web traffic using a Linux computer using SSL as a server and a Windows computer using Putty. This might come handy if you need a secure connection when you are using an open access wi-fi signal or if you don’t want anyone eavesdropping on a corporate network ( considering that the corporate network allows proxies and ports forwarding )
